Scott Sizzles in Qatar

Adam Scott Qatar MastersFootJoy ambassador Adam Scott fired a sizzling final round 61 (-11) to earn a three-shot win at the Commercialbank Qatar Masters. It was his second victory in two tries at the event, as well as his 13th career win as a professional. Adam advanced to World Number Five with the record-setting performance in which he shaved two strokes off the course record, while achieving his personal best round as a professional. His 268 (-20) total matched the tournament record previously set in 1999.

Scott started the final round three shots off the lead, and posted five birdies in the first five holes. He had 11 birdies and no bogeys on the day.

FootJoy was shoe of choice for 55% of players this week in Qatar (nearest competitor 26%).

DJ Trahan Wins Bob HopeD.J. Trahan fired a final round 65 (-7) to charge from four shots back and win the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic by three over his nearest competitor. Trahan birdied the final hole to finish the 90-hole tournament at 334 (-26).

For the walk to his second career victory on the PGA Tour, DJ laced up a pair of Classics Dry Premiere golf shoes. FootJoy was the shoe of choice at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic with 65% of players, more than 3.5 times the nearest competitor with 18%.

Kaymer Wins Abu Dhabi

Martin Kaymer Wins Abu DhabiMartin Kaymer earned his first career PGA European Tour title when he captured the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship in wire-to-wire fashion. Speaking of fashion, Martin trusted a 'classic' pair of all white Classics Dry Premiere saddle shoes as he raised the unmistakable Abu Dhabi falcon trophy.

The 23-year old, who was the 2007 European Tour Rookie of the Year, posted a 273 total (-15) and a winning margin of four shots over fellow FJ players Lee Westwood and Henrik Stenson, both of whom are ranked among the Top 25 in the world. Kaymer became the youngest German winner in European Tour history and moved into the top 35 on the Official World Golf Ranking.

Chopra Wins Mercedes

In a nail-biting end to the PGA TOUR's 2008 season-opener, FootJoy wearer Daniel Chopra two-putted for birdie on the par 5 ninth to edge FootJoy ambassador Steve Stricker on the fourth extra hole of the Mercedes-Benz Championship.  It marked the second career PGA TOUR title for Chopra who qualified for this winners-only event following his maiden victory at the Ginn sur Mer Classic, the next to last tournament of 2007.

Both players finished regulation at 274 (-18) with Chopra firing a closing 66 (-7) and Stricker a sizzling come-from-behind 64 (-9) that included three birdies over the final four holes.  Stricker tied for tournament's best round with fellow FootJoy player Hunter Mahan, who moved from T16 to T5 with his Sunday 64.  


Chopra split time this week in both DryJoys and FJ Golf Athletics shoes.  His glove of choice was StaSof, the #1 Cabretta leather glove in the world.
